In January Mr. Greulich filed for council at large with a group of fellow GOP candidates for this upcoming election. Within a couple weeks Greulich was caucused in unanimously to fill in the remaining term of Matt Knepper councilman at large who recently resigned.
Greulich is an environmental engineer at Waupaca Foundry, Inc. for 24 years. His responsibilities include managing the facilities environmental management system and the compliance reporting to the federal and state agencies.
Greulich has been a lifelong resident of Spencer County and has been active on the county level and his local community. He has been on the Spencer County Redevelopment Commission from January 2017 until his recent placement on the council in January. He currently is seated on the board of directors of Lincolnland Economic Development since 2016, and most recently been on the board of directors of Christmas Lake Village Properties Association from 2012-2018. He also meets Indiana’s Emergency Medical Services training standards to remain an active first responder with his employer since 1997.
Greulich earned a Bachelor of Science degree Magna Cum Laude at Oakland City University and resides in Santa Claus with his wife Kelly. They have two adult children, Nikolaus resides at home in Santa Claus, and Heidi resides in Richland. They are members of St. Meinrad Parish and Greulich is a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Greulich stated “With previous experiences on boards and managing a departmental budget in the private sector, I feel qualified and enthusiastic about retaining this seat on the county council. I look forward to continuing working with county council members, county commissioners and county employees, and to represent and serve everyone of Spencer County”.
