CINDY LEDBETTER ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE, DISTRICT 75 <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Cindy Ledbetter,\nCouncilwoman for Warrick County District 1, filed paperwork at the Statehouse\nin Indianapolis on Wednesday to affirm her candidacy for the District 75 seat\nin Indiana\u2019s house of Representatives. District 75 encompasses most of Warrick, Southern\nPike, and Southwestern Spencer Counties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Ledbetter a nurse\npractitioner who specializes in mental health, has over 25 years of medical,\nbusiness, and administrative experience. She has managed both for profit and\nnot for profit businesses and she has had ownership of a small manufucuring\nfirm and a restaurant.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Ledbetter is also active in her local\ncommunity.  In 2015 she worked as a team leader with a local non-profit to\nraise community awareness to opiate overdose.  Her work as team leader led\nto Vanderburgh and Warrick County first responders and police officers carrying\nthe life-saving medication Narcan.   In 2016 she traveled to San\nAntonio Texas as part of a research team with a goal to decrease the mental\nhealth population of the Vanderburgh County Jail.  Her jail diversion\nefforts lead to the development of the Evansville Mental Health\nCommission.  In 2017 she shifted her focus to Warrick County and in 2018\nwas elected to serve on the Warrick County Council.  Ms. Ledbetter resides in Newburgh Indiana and\nhas a psychiatric practice in Evansville Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Ledbetter reports \u201cI want to be a voice for the\npeople and running for the House District 75 seat gives me a chance to make a\ndifference on a larger scale\u201d  She outlined\nfour main areas of her campaign which include helping rural communities\npreserve their population and workforce, mental health\/substance abuse, education\nand agriculture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
